A Car Insurance Surprise

This tumblr could not be more timely for me.

Yesterday, I received a call from Progressive because I needed to update my address since all the mail they were sending me was being returned.  While I was at, I figured I might as well update my name, since both my name and my address changed OVER A YEAR AGO.

Yeah, I’m lazy.

Anyway, as we’re going through, updating this info, she starts piling on the discounts.  Turns out I get a home ownership discount, a discount for graduating college, a discount for paperless billing, a discount since all my speeding tickets FINALLY fell off my record — the discounts never ended!  And if the husband merges his insurance with mine, we get an even deeper discount!

All in all, after a 20 minute conversation and more discounts than I could wrap my head around, I am saving $100 per month on my car insurance.

So go forth and call your agent and see what discounts you apply for.
